Commemorating The One Hundred Year Anniversary Of "The Protocols Of The Elders Of Zion"

-quote-

>>For example, the president of the Middle East Center for Studies and Public Relations, Hisham Jaber, appeared on Hezbollah's Al-Manar TV on July 11, 2005 stating: "I believe the events of 9-11 were not… perpetrated by Al Qaeda alone…it is global Zionism that stands to gain the most from this…we know that since the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, Zionism has forged the New Testament - and by now, 60 million in the U.S. alone have left Christianity to become believers in the Torah. Global Zionism has tried to forge the Holy Koran…"

The secretary-general of the Islamic Universities Association, Jafar Abd Al-Salim, also appeared on Hezbollah TV on April 22, 2004: "The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion clearly refer to this: 'Spread corruption amongst all human societies so you can rule.'...All the pornographic films in the world are made by Jewish companies, and the same goes for drugs."

Sheik Muhammad Al-Mussayer of Egypt's Al-Azhar University, the most prominent school of Sunni Islam, spoke on Saudi Iqra TV on July 12, 2004: "What do they have to say about the perverse ideology of 'The Protocols of the Elders of Zion?'… What do we have to say about Zionism penetrating Christianity these days? Christianity and Judaism have a long history of animosity…This is not love but a relationship whose goal is to destroy Islam." <<

Gay Activist Gets Gitty At The Prospect Of Falwell Kind Of Sorta Changing His Tune But Not Really

-quote-

>>"I asked him three questions," said White, during a trip last week to Washington. "I asked, 'Did Jerry say it?' He said, 'Yes.' I asked, 'Did Jerry mean it?' He said, 'Yes.' I asked, 'Will Jerry retract it?' He said, 'No.' I said, 'Thank Jerry for that.' "

......

Members of Falwell's team, said Godwin, cannot understand why White and others think the religious broadcaster has changed his tune on crucial issues linked to sexuality, marriage and civil rights. In this case, Falwell was merely restating his belief that homosexuals should not be denied the civil rights that they have as individual American citizens.

........

"I have known Jerry a long time and I think this was a serious change in his life," said White.<<

Ultimate Warrior Is Kind Of A Dick

-quote-

>>As for you, Booby Heenan, it’s just too difficult to keep a straight face talking about the pure two-faced bag of shit you are (and have always been), what, with you also actually wearing one as a piece of body jewelry. You are dying, dis-eased on the inside, and no more time is left to get back any of the integritythat matters the most on death’s bed. <<

Madonna Records Kabbalah Song For New Album

It's called "Isaac". It's about this guy. Should be pretty good. Although not nearly as good as Cat Stevens' "A Is For Allah".

I Always Thought The Navigators Seemed Like The Campus Ministry Most Likely To Debate The Hippie-ness Of Jesus

-quote-

>>"I tend to agree with the author Don Miller when he says that hippies have a lot figured out because they love each other and they love nature, probably more than a lot of Christians," Allison Smith '06 said.

"We don't know if Jesus would have smoked pot -- he's not here right now, and we weren't there," Smith added.<<

Isn't That Just Common Sense?

-quote-

>>His remarks were echoed by Tom Butler, the Bishop of Southwark, who said he would not have sent his children to a Muslim school. He said: "Although religion is taken seriously in a Muslim school, I think the particular insight of Islam is ... is not mine."<<

If Muslims Can't Enjoy The State Enforcement Of Faith Based Arbitration.....

....then no one will.

-quote-

>>Over the years, Jews, Catholics, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mennonites, and aboriginals, among others, made use of arbitration to settle family law questions without using Ontario’s court system. The system quietly worked. “If there have been any problems flowing from any rabbinical court decisions, I’m not aware of them,” observed the Ontario region chairman of the Canadian Jewish Congress, Joel Richler.

Then, in October 2003, an organization called the Islamic Institute of Civil Justice proposed the creation of Muslim Arbitration Boards (internally, it used Islamic terminology for these, Darul-Qada). As explained by the institute’s founder, Syed Mumtaz Ali, the boards, arbitrating on the basis of Islamic law, the Shari’a, would permit a Muslim to live according to Islam’s “complete code of life.”

.......

Interestingly, the main opposition came from Muslim women’s groups, who feared that ignorant, isolated females would submit to the inescapably misogynistic Shari’a, a law code that permits parents to marry off pre-pubescent girls, men to marry multiple women, husbands alone to divorce, fathers automatically to win custody of children over certain ages, and sons to inherit more than daughters.

The anti-Shari’a campaign succeeded. On September 11 – after almost two years of public debate – the premier of Ontario, Dalton McGuinty, held that religious-based arbitrations “threaten our common ground.” He announced, “There will be no Shari’a law in Ontario. There will be no religious arbitration in Ontario. There will be one law for all Ontarians.”

........

Unremarked by most Westerners, Islam’s presence has started to change their way of life.<<

The Poster Child For Moderate Islam

-quote-

>>Leader in the war on terror, survivor of al-Qaida assassination attempts, advocate of moderate Islam: Pakistan's President Gen. Pervez Musharraf has emerged as a darling of the West since the Sept. 11 attacks.

.......

This week, Musharraf returned from a U.S. visit marred by controversy over his reportedly telling The Washington Post that many Pakistanis see rape allegations as a way for women to make money and get visas to leave the country.<<

Apparently Cat Stevens Has "Lightened Up"

-quote-

>>YUSUF ISLAM, the singer formerly known as Cat Stevens and one of Britain’s highest- profile Muslim converts, is to release his first album for nearly 30 years.

The decision to return to the studio indicates that Islam, 58, is ready to bridge the gap between his adopted religion and pop music, which he previously derided as “a world of sin and greed”.

.......

His only album releases since then have been devotional, such as A Is for Allah and The Life of the Last Prophet in 1995.<<

-end quote-

But, for those of you expecting him to start forming coherent thoughts, don't get your hopes up.

-quote-

>>A weblog on his official site also notes: “After one of his lectures on how he came to Islam, a fellow asked Yusuf if he still listens to his old songs from time to time. Brother Yusuf immediately answered ‘No’, then after a few seconds pause he started laughing and said, ‘Um, yes I do’.” <<

No Alcholic Priests?

They can't be serious.

-quote-

>>Dr. Robert Bell of Sedona, who attends St. John Vianney there, said the focus on homosexuality could be a "smoke screen to blame the sexual-abuse scandal on the homosexuals and not the bishops who allowed it to occur."

"It would be far better to screen out those seminarians who are likely to become alcoholics," he said.

George Garbel of Phoenix, a parishioner at St. Joan of Arc, said gay men and alcoholics both should be kept out of the priesthood: "Those persons who have sinful inclinations that would impact their conduct as a priest should not be ordained."<<

Hey, This Guy Thinks The ELCA Isn't Liberal Enough!

-quote-

>>Ron said he knows that he and his team can’t change their denomination, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.“I don’t think the church as a whole is ready to change just yet,” he said.<<

-end quote-

But, why should the ELCA make the leap from accepting homosexual behavior to flat out encouraging it? Well, certainly there are no flaws in this argument.

-quote-

>>“Dr. Robert Anderson at SMU consulted on the design and purchase of our organ, and his graduate students always came over to be our organists,” she said. “Almost all of them were gay. We knew it, and no one thought anything about it. That’s because if you know what you’re doing, it doesn’t matter what you are. And those graduate students knew what they were doing.”<<
